This one is easy to do, but it really makes a difference. Like us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter and Google+. Then, when we ask for help, share those messages with your friends. The success of our petition to ban the ivory trade in Thailand owes a great deal to the people who shared our messages. Nearly half of all the signatures came from people on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus.

Everything we do makes a demand on nature. The food we eat, the clothes we buy, the way we travel, everything. Together, the demands made by each of us – humanity's Ecological Footprint – are too much for our planet. 50% too much, in fact.
