Some of you older sorts might remember a web page slowly revealing a snowy scene of elven warriors, ready for battle. That was how our geeky corner of the world first found out about Kings of War - and boy has it grown since then!
Suffice to say those elves were an 'acquired taste' - but since then the range has grown to support 14 armies and the tournament scene has spread around the world.
10 years on and we've got some great news! Kings of War: Third Edition has started shipping from our warehouse - a few days earlier than our October 21st shipping date - and that HAS to be a first in Mantic history ;)
If you're a Mantic website customer or a retailer, the warehouse is currently busy packing up books, starter sets, minis and massive chimeras, then sending them around the globe, ready for the street date of October 26th.
We want to say a massive thank you to everyone that has ordered. Releasing Kings of War: Third Edition direct to retail and without a Kickstarter was a massive decision for us, but the community and trade support has ensured this is our biggest launch ever. In fact, we've already sold almost as many Third Edition rulebooks, as we did Second Edition... and that's before we've even launched.
With your support and help the future for Kings of War will be very bright. The launch is just the tip of the iceberg - we've got an entire year of Kings of War releases up our sleeve, so stay tuned for the next few weeks to see some pretty pictures for what we have planned ... plus a little top secret organisation called the League of Infamy is heading your way on October 28th, which is going to help create even more awesome fantasy minis! Just take a look at the end of this newsletter.

LIMITED EDITION HARDBACK RULEBOOK
The first print run of the limited edition 400-page hardback rulebook is almost sold out! Packed full of expanded lore, amazing pictures, maps... oh, and the rules, this is a must-have for any Kings of War fan. Once we've sold through the initial print run, the contents will stay the same but the cover will change.
If you're new to Kings of War - or just want two sweet armies - the Shadows in the North two-player set is the perfect place to start. Inside you'll find two starter armies (the insidious Nightstalkers and chilly Northern Alliance), a 144-page softback rulebook and a getting started guide. Plus, order from the Mantic website for FREE movement trays.

LEAGUE OF INFAMY KICKSTARTER LAUNCHES OCTOBER 28TH
