The 2020 Games for Change Student Challenge Competition is Now National!

The 2020 Games for Change Student program has expanded nationally! Through March 31st, ALL middle and high school students across the country are able to enter their social impact games across four themes: A Clean & Happy Earth, Inclusive Play: Designing Games for All, Get the Party Started, and The Human-Animal Bond

Students in Spotlight Cities that receive year-round programming (New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Atlanta) will continue to compete in local, citywide competitions, while all other students will compete on a national level.

We will be sharing Grand Prize winning games from past years on our social media channels, and highlighting some important people who make the challenge what it is!

We were thrilled to once again host our NYC Student Challenge Mid-Program Meet-Up at the Microsoft Store NYC Flagship on 5th Avenue! The educators in our cohort got a behind the scenes look at their professional eSports studio.

Here's to our awesome teachers, partners, and collaborators!

Calling all middle and high school students: the next NYC Student Challenge game jam is on February 22nd at the New-York Historical Society! Students will create social impact games around the "Get the Party Started" theme, supported by iCivics.  Join professional game developers for a day of fun, creativity and game design.
