As summer comes to and close and we head into fall, G4C is excited to share more virtual events and programs with the community! Want more G4C content? Check out our G4C YouTube Channel. You can find over 70 hours of programming from #G4C2020, including talks like Nick Fortugno's Well Played session on Animal Crossing or How We Have Faith in Systems plus other content like previous Talk and Play events, like this one featuring a compelling discussion on Ethics and XR!
Games for Change is welcoming 3 new members to our Board of Directors! These individuals add decades of gaming and technology expertise to our already fantastic group. We're thrilled to have them. You can see the full list of G4C board members here.

Public middle and high school teachers in New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Detroit can apply now for the 2020 - 2021 Student Challenge Program! Now in its 6th year, this highly flexible program is supported by virtual learning resources, and is suitable for remote and hybrid learning models.

Educators from all backgrounds are welcome to apply; no prior experience with computer science or game design is required! Virtual professional development will take place this Fall during non-school hours, and teachers will be paid at a per session rate for their participation.

Deadline to apply is September 25.

G4C is thrilled to announce 3 more Create With Fortnite Workshops through the end of 2020! Educators can apply now to attend workshops on September 26, October 24, or December 5.  Receive tools to bring Fortnite Creative into the classroom and teach students how to harness the power of games to become creators! Educators will:

  • Engage in hands-on learning, as you move through a series of challenges to explore the fundamentals of Fornite Creative

  • Explore teacher created and tested Fortnite Creative lesson plans

  • Prototype an idea, collect peer feedback, and reflect in order to design an experience for your students.

LEVEL UP KL 2020 
October 14-15

LEVEL UP KL is an annual South-East Asia Game Developers conference, first held in 2015. Its goal is to provide a platform for the region's game industry to thrive; bringing in business, technical insights and future-shaping trends from thought-leader keynotes and high-level panels from all over the world. This year, LEVEL UP KL will be hosted virtually.

Games for Change Managing Director, Arana Shapiro and Games for Change Asia-Pacific Director, Dale Linegar will be giving a joint presentation on our programs!
