Back again in a virtual format and free for all attendees, the 2021 Games for Change Festival will bring together a global community to celebrate the power of games and immersive media to drive meaningful social impact. We are excited to offer a wide range of sessions, including a spotlight on Indigenous voices, networking opportunities, and a week of workshops exploring how we can imagine, ignite and inspire the future of social impact. 
 
Our first round of speakers represents the diverse range of programming from G4C21. From AAA studios to indie developers and world-builders to leading social innovators, our speakers all play an essential role in the constantly growing social impact ecosystem. Speakers Include:

We are also excited to honor Niantic as this year's recipient of the Games for Change Industry Leadership Award. CEO, John Hanke, will accept the award for Niantic's ongoing work on social justice, the environment, and well-being. Niantic's innovative technology consistently enriches the experience of the physical world while encouraging exercise, exploration, and social interaction across a global stage.

For the first time, G4C will be hosting a virtual Workshop Week (July 6 - 10) exploring impact design methodologies, utilizing the power of games in the classroom, and more. These hands-on workshops and professional opportunities are for developers, educators, and intersectional experts interested in impact games. They will offer a diverse range of practical learning experiences that explore impact design to the power of games in the classroom. Participants will connect and collaborate with peers guided by experts from the social impact community! 

Participation will cost $15 per workshop. Students, indie developers, and those affected by the COVID-19 crisis can apply for a scholarship to the workshops on the registration page.
