Attention Researchers and XR Creators- We invite you to join us in envisioning the future of XR!

The 5th annual XR Brain Jam is back for 2022! Applications are now open to join this unique event that pairs researchers with XR creators to develop innovative prototypes that push the boundaries of XR. This year's jam will be in-person in New York City, July 9th through 11th, with an online pre-jam workshop on June 25th.

Created through a partnership between Carnegie Mellon University and Games for Change, the XR Brain Jam challenges participants to combine the work of researchers with that of XR creators, tackling problems ranging from biofeedback to social anxiety to climate change.

We are looking for diverse participants spanning a variety of research spaces and XR creators with expertise in technical development as well as artists, audio designers, writers, and other types of digital creatives. Join us for a weekend of pushing boundaries and forging new professional connections. All XR Brain Jam participants will also receive passes to the 2022 Games for Change Festival, where a selection of the XR Brain Jam experiences will be presented to over 10,000 attendees.

There are still many untapped possibilities in XR simply because professional researchers and expert XR creators rarely have an opportunity to create and collaborate with one another. Help us bring together the most diverse and creative minds we can by applying now and sharing this opportunity with your networks and colleagues you think would be great collaborators at the jam.

Applications Close April 30th.
