This week we're updating the online rules for Vanguard with loads of new units from our existing model range to give players more flexibility when creating their warbands. You can download the new lists from our Free Rules page on the website. Here's a quick look at a couple of the new warriors to take to the field!
The Cursed High Priest is a second command option for the Empire of Dust. He adds a white power dice to your pool and can bring a wide range of powerful spells to the field - as well as the ability to boost the range of his spells in exchange for power.
Aside from being my own personal favourite miniature, the Riverguard Sentinel is a command option for the Trident Realm of Neritica. His abilities allow him to temporarily fly (or jump) to clear terrain, or dodge attacks, making him a great disruption character.
The Gladewalker Druid is an alternative to the standard druid from the Forces of Nature. They come with a number of benefits; due to being creatures of the forests themselves. They bring a white power dice to the battle (as opposed to the druid's red) and can use their Nature's Defence ability to negate enemy spells!
Skulks are ranged soliders for Orc Warbands. They're grunts, so you can take plenty in your list to unlock the heavy hitters and support your melee units with bow fire. They also come with the Pathfinder and Scout abilities, which allow them to move ahead of the rest of the warband into cover at the start of the game, ready to fire.
HERE'S NEGAN (ALMOST)
We're just letting you know that Here's Negan will now be shipping December 3rd. The upside of this slight delay is that if you were after the exclusive Character Cards for The Walking Dead: All Out War, fret not! You have a little extra time to pre-order the game, either through your local retailer or the Mantic Webstore!
To tide you over until the game's release - check out this unboxing video from Ronnie and a play-through from BlackJack Legacy below!

NEW TERRAINCRATE SETS
Get up close and personal with the new TerrainCrate releases!
Following on from our Dungeon themed sets released earlier in the year, this wave of TerrainCrate releases is for the wargamers out there (although I'm sure any intrepid DM's can find uses for them, too).
From walls and barricades to campsites and other objectives, these new sets are designed for skirmish games and wargames - such as Kings of War or Vanguard. There are even some retail exclusive - sets that were made after the initial Kickstarter - which have never been available before! Check them out and pre-order the new releases below, which will be shipping from the 3rd December.
Great for use as obstacles to defend in games, these fences and hedges can be used to represent an abandoned farmstead. There are two hastily-built barricades for your warriors to cover (or cower, in the case of goblins) behind in battle!
This set of modular stone walls fits into both fantasy and contemporary settings - or even World War Historical games. There are intact and damaged sections to create walls and two different lengths of wall - so you can arrange them to fit any board.
This extensive camp can represent an army at muster, or a group of traveling traders. You could use these as objectives in your games, or the perfect setting for an infiltration mission in the dead of night!
Nothing sets a macabre scene like a set of gallows in a town square. This large piece of scenery could find its way into many different fantasy settings - or even something more swashbuckling. Arr!
A smaller version of the Campsite, this set would make a great diorama, or represent a lone adventurer's camp. This could also be used as an objective in skirmish games - the last known location of a missing messenger. Also very handy for Vanguard games too!
This set contains enough pieces of scenery to populate a fantasy urban environment, right down to the (removable) goods on the market stalls. Of particular interest is the obelisk, which could be separated and used as a waystone or stone idol on its own.
With the same modular stalls as the Village Square, this set can be used to expand your fantasy settlement, or be used as a roadside trader in RPGs. The horse and cart also make great objectives for Vanguard!
Every wayward traveller needs a place to hitch their horse. This set is ideal for either fantasy villages or westerns. You could also add it to the Fences & Hedges set above to create a detailed farmstead.
Suitable for either Dwarf- or Human-sized smiths, this forge is a great place for your warriors to have their armour repaired and their weapons sharpened. Add it to the Village Square to flesh out your settlement even more!
These Market Stalls include a wide variety of goods, including fruit, vegetables, fish, poultry, fabrics and more. Each pile of produce is removable, so you can customise and tailor your stalls so that no two will look the same!
