Each year, the Games for Change Awards recognize new games in the space that have the potential to enact social change through play. This year's awards are the most competitive and global in the Festival's history – with over 400 submissions across nine categories. Game entries came from established AAA studios, indie developers, and university-level students, exemplifying this year's Games for Change Festival themes of imagining, igniting, and inspiring the future of social impact. The 2022 Games for Change Award finalists include:

In addition to the above categories, games from Best Gameplay, Most Innovative, Most Significant Impact, Best Health, Best Narrative, Best Civics, and Best Learning Game categories are eligible for the G4C People's Choice Award hosted by Facebook Gaming! Voting will open on June 16th and run through June 30th. Keep an eye out on our social media channels for more information.

The G4C Workshop Series is filling up! Explore 12 workshops that offer a diverse range of learning experiences that explore unique subject matter, from impact design methodologies to the power of games in the classroom. Attendees will connect and collaborate with their peers while guided by expert facilitators from the Games for Change community.

If you're a game developer, educator, intersectional expert, or just someone who wants to learn more about impact games, secure your spot today. All workshops will cost $50If you would like to attend multiple workshops, please purchase tickets separately.

Every year Games for Change relies on the support of volunteers to bring the Festival to life. Volunteers' time and expertise help build a sense of community that elevates the experience for all attendees. We are looking for in-person all-stars for this year's Festival. Positions will be scheduled on a first submitted, first-served basis, so don't sleep on it.
