Anteaters, eggs, deforestation - and you

Chances are, yes. Find out what's happening, and why we need your help.

Soy is everywhere – including where you expect it the least. 75% of soy produced globally is fed to animals which we eat, such as chicken and pigs, and that produce our dairy and eggs.

The average European eats 61 kg of soy every year mostly due to the hidden soy embedded in the animal products we eat.

So what's the problem? Increasing demand for soy production is wiping out fragile forests, savannahs and grasslands of South America. Threatened wildlife like the anteater above, are paying the price of irresponsible soy expansion.

We need your help to fix this problem.

The WWF Soy Scorecard 2016 assesses more than one-hundred companies based on their use of responsible soy in the animal feed used to produce their meat, eggs and dairy products. Now we're asking you to make some noise on Twitter to high-five those that scored well and encourage the rest that scored poorly.
