G4C News: CS4ALL Hack League, New Team and G4C Europe

View this email in your browser NYC Department of Education, CS4ALL & G4C team up for first ever Hack League Participate in the first ever CS4ALL Hack League developed in partnership with NYC CS4ALL and the NYC Department of Education and powered by Games for Change. The deadline for teachers to apply for paid professional development has been extended through November 2. The CS4ALL Hack League kicks off during Computer Science Education Week (December 4 - 10) and runs through early 2018. Teachers will be empowered to run games-focused Hackathons in their schools with winning teams advancing to Borough-level and City-level events. Themes will be provided for each hackathon that addresses real-world issues and all games can be submitted to the G4C Student Challenge Competition. Learn more about CS4ALL Hack League and sign-up here. We would like to introduce you to Asif Khan (Senior Director of Partnerships & Programs), Leandro Huerto (Social Media & Community Manager), Ben Zeiger (Senior Coordinator of Content & Production) and Marissa Harts (Operations Manager). We are really excited to have them as part of our team and cannot wait to see the great work and value they will bring to Games for Change. Don't miss G4C Europe's summit at thecamp in Aix-en-Provence (France) where the future of VR / AR / MR and social impact is being discussed November 16 - 17. You will have access to more than 40 sessions over two days on the latest trends in VR / AR / MR and the chance to engage in topics as diverse as neuroscience, empathy, storytelling, sustainable business models and more. Seize this opportunity to connect with leaders in the industry at Europe's first campus dedicated to technology and social innovation.
