In How to Make Things Fun, Jenny Gottstein (Experience Design Lead in the Play Lab, IDEO) will share case studies and tools for moving beyond points, badges and leaderboards, and turning even the most dry or overwhelming issues into experiences that are memorable, engaging and fun. -
Do you know how to answer concerns about games as a cause of violence, psychological disorders and unemployment? Gain the tools for a meaningful dialogue about games and their benefits with the How to Talk About Games, Today panel of researchers, advocates and experts. - Hear winning strategies for maximizing the impact of your game, from development teams that have survived the trenches. Their mini-talks will address how to increase your audience, lengthen a game's lifespan and make games more personal while adhering the latest privacy guidelines.
- Do you wish you could learn more about the funding process of different federal agencies and discuss one on one, with industry experts? #G4C19 will be hosting a wide variety of networking and mentoring sessions including our Mentor Cafe, Speed Networking and Meet the Funders. AAA game studios, educators, researchers, social entrepreneurs, funders, technologists and XR creators will be available to discuss development challenges, answer specific questions across a variety of topics and advise on a career in the games industry.
