The XR for Change Summit program is LIVE!

With a day full of talks, breakouts, and demos, the XR for Change Summit will showcase a range of promising immersive projects and emerging technologies. Join fellow developers, storytellers, researchers, journalists, artists, nonprofits and more to explore how AR/VR/MR can drive social good.
New sessions have been announced:
  • Could immersive experiences of racism in VR be an effective tool in the fight for racial equality? Learn what teams at Columbia and Stanford have discovered with assistant professor Courtney Cogburn and her project, 1000 Cut Journey.

  • Join Boo Aguilar (FLAGCX) and Adam Haar Horowitz to hear how projects with IBM, HTC, United Nations and Unity are accelerating the next generation of human-computer interaction.

  • Can XR help us transform the world for good? Michael Ludden (IBM Watson Developer Labs) will share revolutionary new uses for AR and VR in the fields of Education, Therapy, Recovery and Productivity.

  • Hear student and teacher perspectives on the potential for VR in education, with panelists Lisa Castaneda (foundry10), Marie Graham (Mount Vernon School) and Steve Isaacs (Bernards Township Public Schools).

Are you an XR developer or neuroscience researcher? Apply for the XR Brain Jam today!

From June 25 - 27, XR for Change will host its second annual XR Brain Jam as part of the G4C Festival in NYC. Based on the wildly successful inaugural Brain Jam held last year, G4C, in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University and the Engaged Learning Network, will host a two-day jam where neuroscience researchers are paired with XR development teams to explore the intersection of their domains.

This intersection of XR and neuroscience has already demonstrated amazing potential. We have seen projects use this new technology to decode DNA sequences; provide therapy for burn victims and patients with PTSD; explore dangerous chemistry experiments in safe environments; deepen our understanding of dementia; and more. That said, there are still many untapped possibilities in XR simply because professional researchers and expert XR developers rarely have a space to create and collaborate with one another. XR for Change hopes to change that!

Apply now to be one of the 12 teams selected to participate in the Jam. All selected participants will receive full access to the 15th Annual Games for Change Festival and XR for Change Summit (June 28 - 30).

Other benefits for participating companies include:
  • Company/University logo in the XR for Change Summit program
  • Company/University logo on the G4C Festival website
  • Social media shoutouts
  • Networking opportunities
  • Chance to present your project at XR for Change Summit
Spots are limited, so be sure to apply with your team below!
